Research on MECP2 Duplication Syndrome (MDS), a severe neurological disorder, is making promising strides forward. An experiment in the lab of Dr. Huda Zoghbi determined that, remarkably, MDS is reversible in a mouse model! Research is now focused on translating that result to boys and girls with the disorder. Potentially curative therapeutic approaches that address the disorder at its genetic core are being pursued. Funding is urgently needed to continue this exciting momentum. You can learn more about MDS and the research at curemds.org
