Alanah’s Story
Alanah is a vibrant 9-year-old who was diagnosed with Rett syndrome on August 6, 2018, a date that interestingly mirrors her birthday, 6/8. Despite facing numerous challenges due to Rett syndrome, Alanah continues to show resilience each day. She has an incredible connection with music, with her emotions deeply tied to the melodies she hears—happy songs bring smiles, while sad ones make her tear up. Alanah’s love for chocolate, salad, and bacon is only matched by her love for attention. She loves her family and she absolutely loves to snuggle!

There is real hope for a CURE! Please join us in raising awareness and support for the Rett Syndrome Research Trust (RSRT), which directly funds groundbreaking research aimed at curing Rett syndrome. RSRT’s progress in genetic-based approaches, like gene therapy, is truly promising, with multiple clinical trials now underway. Should the opportunity arise and Alanah meets the criteria for participation, our family is fully committed to being part of this historic journey. With your support, we can help unlock a brighter future for Alanah and every child affected by Rett syndrome.
