My name is Gabriella Berger, I am 15 years old, and this is my first half marathon. I have been running most of my life, but this is my first big race and I want to put it to good use and support someone who needs our help. Zoe Rothschild is my neighbor and the daughter of Rachel and Jason and sister to Cooper Rothschild. Zoe has Rett Syndrome, a debilitating neurological disease that currently has no cure. Zoe’s family has been fundraising with the Rett Syndrome Research Trust since her diagnosis. 94% of every dollar donated goes directly towards the end goal of curing Rett. RSRT has made huge progress thru gene replacement and other cutting-edge research. Zoe’s family has been holding out hope for the Rett Syndrome Research Trust and the progress they have made toward finding the cure.
