Thanks to everyone old and new for playing in Tournament #3. It’s the 2nd time we’re supporting the Rett Syndrome Research Trust and I’m excited to share the progress RSRT has made over the past year thanks to your donations in the last tournament.
Learning about Rett Syndrome this past year has truly made us appreciate our functioning bodies. It’s important to put this into perspective each time we step on to the court. How fortunate we are to be able to move and play with like-minded friends passionate about sports at a world class facility.
Evie Lotz, who is nearing 2.5 yrs old also wants to run around with her Hollyburn toddler friends. What she would give to slide down a bouncy castle singing ‘Let it Go’ and use her own hands to feed herself that cheesy Bistro Mac n’ Cheese. With your donation to the Research Trust, a gene therapy cure may allow her to break free and tell us the story of how it felt being trapped inside a body that didn’t respond to her thoughts and wishes.
Please join us in giving these scientists the funding they need to take their research to the next level and hope for the 350,000 girls waiting for the cure.
