Unfortunately, our little Megs started having seizures a few weeks ago. We are hopeful that medicine will help control them, but we know that time is not on her side. We need to act now to get the drug that can potentially cure Meghan and thousands of others who suffer from MECP2 Duplication Syndrome tested and approved. Coincidentally, there is a very promising research project being done at UMass that is testing the drug treatment in primates. They need $330,000 to continue testing in primates and then humans.
Before Meghan even started having seizures, we knew we wanted to make a significant contribution to research in 2020. This project at UMass is it! But we need your help to raise $330,000! Scientists don’t know exactly what a cure will look like for these kids, but they do know one thing – the older you are, the less likely it will reverse the negative symptoms of the syndrome. So, please help us end 2020 on a high note and contribute to this project! We can do this!
